FAQ
How do you convert American odds to decimal?
Positive American odds: decimal = 1 + (odds / 100), so +150 = 2.50. Negative: decimal = 1 + (100 / |odds|), so -110 = 1.909.
What is implied probability?
The win probability the odds are pricing in: 1 / decimal odds. -110 implies 52.4% — more than 50% because the book's margin (vig) is baked in.
Why do -110 and -110 add up to more than 100%?
Two sides at -110 imply 52.4% each, 104.8% combined. The extra 4.8% is the vig — the book's cut. Beating it long-term is the whole game.
